Aurat March 2022
Aurat March 2022 at Jinnah bagh:
Since 2018, Pakistani feminists have been organising large public demonstrations for Women’s Day called Aurat, the Urdu word for women March. Opposition to the Aurat March has grown in proportion to its popularity and impact.
Firstly on the day of 8 march at Jinnah bagh. There are a lot of women singing, dancing and greeting each other with the word that Eid Mubarak so I don't get it like majority of women in that group is muslim so I think that they don't no that there is only two eid celebration one is Eid ul fitar and Eid ul Adha in Islam, so I just wanna know if this is a eid so why they are not allow everyone to join and celebrate this eid day. But unfortunately according to their rule one ledy can only take two men with her. Isn't it funny but anyways it's okay but the real question is! was that March really about women's rights?
Unfortunately it was not about the Rights of every woman around Pakistan , it was just about an elite class woman that needed attention to do those things like I have Mentioned. And the aurat march itself a discarmination.
In the end I would like to say that I believe we should focus on confronting REAL oppression rather than wasting our time wringing our hands over nonsense the so-called "Aurat march" is almost too ludicrous to garner public attention.
We live in the freest country on the planet, where women have rights and protections that previous generations could only dream of all so a bunch of loud-mouthed, vulgar nincompoops can go around wearing obscene hats, making inane speeches, and trashing the place and then wonder why no one respects or takes them seriously.
Perhaps if they weren't so obnoxious, someone would at least pay attention to them. As it stands, they're reversing fifty years of progress for women's rights, while the rest of the country watches and wonders.
